أُعلنت ترشيحات جوائز الأكاديمية رقم 88 أو المرشحين لجوائز الأوسكار 2016 صباح يوم الخميس في مسرح سامويل جولدوين في بيفرلي هيلز, .وقد أعلن كل من الممثل John Krasinski ورئيسة الأكاديمية Cheryl Boone Isaacs، وصناع الأفلام Guillermo del Toro و Ang Lee عن المرشحين في كل الفئات الـ 24. حيث سيستضيف كريس روك الحفل، وسيجري في مسرح دولبي في هوليوود يوم الأحد 28 فبراير، ويذاع في بث مباشر على قناة ABC.
